I would say that the countries with the most religious freedom, not the most religious people, are the best places to live. And when the article refers to "highly secular", I really have to question what that means...

My opinion on this matter:
Religious Freedom -> More Secularism
                             -> Better Society

NOT More Secularism -> Better Society


If there was a state that forced all of their people to be nonreligious, it would be just as bad as a religious state.

Take, for example, North Korea. There is no religious freedom. According to the CIA World Factbook, "autonomous religious activities now almost nonexistent; government-sponsored religious groups exist to provide illusion of religious freedom".

If you are looking for a truly secular state, go to North Korea. Or China, with a bit more than half of the population unafilliated with a religion.

Why do people hate Muslims? It is because of the amount of heinous acts of crime they have committed against humanity in the name of their religion. Every religion has discriminated against others, Christians especially.
